Broadband vouchers for SMEs worth £3,000

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport is offering businesses £3,000 to pay towards upgrading business broadband to a high-speed capable connection.

Full fibre broadband connections offer the fastest and most reliable speeds available, and the government is committed to a vision of a full fibre Britain. As part of this commitment in March 2018 they announced a £67m Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme.

Businesses can claim up to £3,000 against the cost of connection either individually or as part of a group project. Residents can benefit from the scheme with a voucher worth £500 as part of a group project.

Who it’s for
Available to SMEs in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland

How to apply:
The scheme is only accessible through broadband service providers who have registered.

Businesses/community groups interested in benefitting from a voucher should:

  1. Check whether they are eligible for a voucher
  2. Then check whether there are registered suppliers in the area using the postcode search (Businesses/community groups can also talk to existing suppliers to see if they are participating in the scheme).
  3. Vouchers are issued to the supplier only to offset the cost of the installation to the premises.
  4. For full details about eligibility and to read some case studies, go to the Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme
